Working For Us

A Career with Purpose

So, what can you expect from a career with NTH Solutions?

If you join us, you’ll be joining a team that is clearly focused on the delivery of high-quality, safe and effective services that benefit our local communities.

Excellence is at the forefront of everything we do.

Our People, Our Priority

Such is the importance of growing our people, it is one of our three strategic priorities. By investing in the experience, wellbeing and ongoing professional development of our people – who are by far our biggest asset – alongside our ongoing focus on establishing a workplace culture where we work together to achieve better outcomes, we will continue to provide opportunities for our colleagues to thrive in their careers with us.

Expect Job Satisfaction and Development as Standard

Even though we do not provide direct patient care, we are part of the wider team that enables patient care delivery.

All of our colleagues play a crucial role in this, and get a huge job satisfaction from knowing that they make a difference to people’s healthcare experience.

Equally, a career with NTH Solutions is so rewarding. We prioritise in-role development and provide many tailored learning experiences that help colleagues to grow both personally and professionally. Many of our senior leaders started their careers in entry-level roles, and have been supported to progress through the organisation through a combination of on-the-job experience, combined with professional studies.

For example, our Interim Assistant Director of Estates began his professional career as an Apprentice Electrician at the University Hospital of North Tees many years ago, our Assistant Director of Operations began her career as a Domestic Assistant at University Hospital Hartlepool, and our Facilities Services Lead at North Tees began his career as a Porter.

We offer a number of Apprenticeship opportunities, as well as the opportunity to study for a degree or other professional accreditation alongside work. Please visit our Case Studies section to learn more on this.

Supporting Wellbeing and Work-Life Balance

A Culture That Cares

At NTH Solutions, we value our culture of working together to achieve better outcomes and take the six pillars of workplace wellbeing incredibly seriously.

These are:

  • Job security
  • Financial security
  • Health
  • Support
  • Protection (from problematic behaviour)
  • Work-life balance

Dedicated Wellbeing Services

To support this, we have a dedicated in-house Wellbeing Service led by a trained Psychodynamic Counsellor, Clinical Supervisor and Coach, who also has training in bereavement and loss, suicide intervention and prevention, domestic violence and neurodiversity, amongst other areas. This sits alongside a number of other pastoral support and wellbeing services.

Our people leaders work tirelessly in promoting the importance of wellbeing amongst our colleagues, and consider both physical health and mental health in equal measure.
