After many months of planning and development, NTH Solutions now boasts it’s very own training portal known as the Learning Management System (LMS). This independent platform aspires to be a link between the quality, values and priorities of the NHS and individuals and organisations with a need for educational content.
We want our platform to be a valuable resource that addresses acute needs or gaps in our current provision of healthcare and facilities management in the UK, and to do that we are working with a network of industry specialists. Working in close partnership with these subject matter experts, we can provide high-quality, relevant content on an independent platform consistent with NHS values and priorities.
Our first course offering is emblematic of that goal. Blue Mental Health Support is the culmination of a partnership between NTH Solutions and Blue Mental Health Education and Training. Working together and drawing on our shared experience, we have produced Blue Mental Health Solutions for Schools. This course provides an introduction to cognitive behavioural therapy which is aimed at school staff. The content helps these staff to understand how issues like anxiety and depression form and how they present in children and young people. Learners are then able to spot the signs early, and support children at school. It is hoped that this kind of early identification and intervention will lead to a reduction in the number of children being referred to specialist services as their symptoms diminish. The course is packed with case-study material, reflective exercises and practical tips for transforming any school’s approach to mental health.
With several expansions of this content in the works (including a parent/family version due in December) and a pipeline of other courses planned, this portal is an exciting expansion of the NTH Solutions portfolio and we’re all incredibly proud to be able to share it.
