Sharon Mee
Director, Governance; Company Secretary
A highly experienced senior leader, Sharon has almost 40 years of experience in the National Health Service, working across a number of different health organisations including Health Authorities, Acute Hospital settings, Primary Care Trusts and Community Services. She is also experienced in registration and inspection of social care premises, spending four years regulating and monitoring standards in private nursing homes.
Her portfolio in NTH Solutions includes governance, legislative compliance, business performance, business development, and environmental services, sustainability, capital and planning. Sharon has extensive experience in developing systems and processes as part of the governance and compliance agenda, and is responsible for ensuring that appropriate systems and processes are in place – and are adhered to – across our organisation.
From a governance perspective, this includes ensuring we meet our objectives, oversight of the risk and internal control framework, ensuring Board and Committee oversight, achieving quality of care or services, maintaining the highest possible safety culture in conjunction with our stakeholders, and ensuring that we meet our statutory and legal responsibilities, both for ourselves as an employer, and on behalf of the Trust and any external clients with whom we have Service Level Agreements in place.
