Faye Scio
Head of Business Development and Innovation
Faye provides strategic leadership for our Business Development and Innovation function, drawing on over 25 years of experience across the public and private sectors. She holds a BA in Business Management and an MSc in Marketing Management. After two decades in senior Sales and Marketing roles, she transitioned to the NHS following a shift in focus and a desire to contribute to a more meaningful cause. This journey began with volunteering in the hospital’s Cancer Information Centre and led to her current role at NTH Solutions, where she has been for the past seven years.
Faye leads on generating commercial income through business development initiatives, overseeing the acquisition and management of major contracts for the delivery of estates and facilities services to external health and social care organisations. Her focus on operational rigour and service excellence ensures the sustainable growth of our external portfolio.
In parallel, Faye works closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to bring forward innovative ideas, collaborating with external organisations including Industry Partners, NHS Trusts and Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria, taking concepts through the innovation pathway, from initial insight to intellectual property and commercialisation.
Finally, Faye has responsibility for identifying and managing tender opportunities and grant applications, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and capacity. Her approach combines strategic foresight with practical delivery, bringing together innovation, commercial expertise, and cross-sector collaboration.
