The NTH Solutions Innovation department drives forward-thinking initiatives on behalf of North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. We prioritise projects that align with our core Values of quality, community, and excellence, ensuring that every innovation enhances patient care and supports our healthcare teams.
Supporting Idea Development
Working closely with colleagues across the Trust, we identify and develop new ideas, guiding them through the Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria pathway, a regional NHS England-commissioned organisation.
Success Story: The Community Kit Bag
Our Community Kit Bag – an idea born from our Nurses – exemplifies our commitment, evolving from concept to nationwide adoption across 66 NHS Trusts. This project alone has retained over £2 million within the NHS system, ensuring that resources are reinvested in patient care rather than spent on private suppliers.
Everyday Innovation in Action
Alongside large-scale successes, we also champion smaller, but equally meaningful projects like our Menopause journal which is currently in development, and designed to support colleagues within our wider hospital group. Whether pioneering transformative solutions or refining everyday processes, we remain dedicated to bringing innovation to life in ways that reflect our Values.
