The chances are, your site has a cleaning specification already, but did you know that the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021 specify what this document has to contain. Spoiler alert: your document won’t have everything it needs!
The Standards work through a system of technical audits. These audits give percentage scores for your site, but those percentages are generated by comparing your cleaning spec with your actual site. This means that if your cleaning specification is not up to scratch, it could have a negative effect on your audit results, or even make them impossible to generate!
