Leeds community matron wins first kit bag competition

Following our competition celebrating International Nurses Day, NTH Solutions was delighted to hand-deliver one of our innovative kit bags to lucky winner, Zoe Dunphy-Harrison from Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a district nurse and community matron, Zoe is exactly the kind of key worker we have looked to support by developing these kit bags.

We encouraged all contestants to retweet our competition and tell us why they would like a free bag. Zoe told us how important organisation was to her and that our bag “would be absolutely perfect for my boot!” Like many community nurses, Zoe relies heavily on keeping the back of her car stocked with everything her patients may need. The lack of a standardised kit bag has left many nurses working out of Bags For Life, often missing key supplies and having to return to base for resupply.

Our bags are compact, with colour coded compartments making organisation far easier and making mid-shift resupply runs a thing of the past. The bag is made of microbial resistant material and opens out to form a sterile field for Zoe to treat her patients on. We are confident Zoe will feel the same surprising benefits that our other kit bag users have reported, and would like to thank her and all of our community nurses up and down the country for the invaluable support they provide to our communities.

“I was overjoyed to win the competition for a Community Kit Bag. My boot is always full of various nursing equipment and so I don’t have room for anything else. This isn’t ideal when I have the weekly supermarket shop etc! Now I have something that I can easily move in and out of my car instead. The bag is amazing! You can absolutely tell that it’s been made by healthcare professionals for healthcare professionals. Everything that you could possibly think about has been thought of and so I can’t wait to use it! It’s perfect for anyone like me, who likes to be really organised and clean.”
